From Diamond Neckpiece To 1100 Kg Lamp: Here Are Diverse Contributions To Ram Mandir By Indians
People from across India are showering the newly constructed Ram Mandir in Ayodhya with special gifts, showcasing an extraordinary outpouring of love and compassion.
These offerings range from a world clock and a dazzling gold bow and arrow to intricate jewellery and complimentary "Shree Ram" tattoos, among various other presents. The diverse gifts underscore the myriad ways individuals express their love and faith.
From The Heart Of India: Diverse Offerings Enrich Ram Mandir In Ayodhya
Devotees of Lord Ram have presented numerous gifts, specifically crafted for the magnificent temple in Uttar Pradesh, extending their offerings to the Ram temple foundation.
In anticipation of its imminent inauguration this month, the trust has received a myriad of unique and invaluable gifts from both within the nation and beyond.
Let's explore some of the remarkable gifts:
1. Necklace With 5000 American Diamonds And 2 Kg Silver
A Surat-based diamond dealer showcased extraordinary craftsmanship by creating a necklace with the Ram Mandir as its centerpiece. The stunning piece features over five thousand American diamonds and is crafted from two kilogrammes of silver.
The intricate design of the necklace was meticulously completed by approximately 40 artisans in a span of 35 days, as reported by ANI. The string of the necklace is adorned with carvings depicting key characters from the Ramayana.
2.Around 3,000 Gifts Arrive From Sita's Home In Nepal
Around five hundred devotees of Lord Ram embarked on a significant journey from Nepal to Ayodhya. With the aim of bestowing blessings upon Shri Ram and Mata Janaki, these devout followers presented over 3,000 unique gifts, ranging from cash, clothing, fruits, and candies to valuable metals like gold and silver. The procession commenced from Janaki Mandir in Janakpur on January 4, reaching Ayodhya two days later on January 6.
3. Vegetable Vendor's Ingenious Gift: World Clock Developed & Presented To Ram Temple
As a gesture of reverence, a vegetable vendor presented the first-ever world clock—capable of displaying time in nine different countries—to the Ram temple. In 2018, Anil Kumar Sahu, the 51-year-old vegetable vendor, designed and patented the global clock with the Indian government. He generously gifted the 75-cm clock to the Ram Temple Trust's General Secretary, Champat Rai. Additionally, Sahu has donated two more clocks—one to Hanuman Garhi and another to the Ayodhya Junction railway station and the main shrine.
4.Golden Bow and Arrow Gifted by Mahavir Temple Trust
President Kishore Kunal of the Mahavir Temple Trust in Patna, Bihar, has made a distinctive gesture by presenting Shri Ram Lalla with a golden bow and arrow. Additionally, the Trust is generously contributing Rs 10 crore towards the construction of the Ram temple, with the final installment expected before the much-anticipated Pran Pratishtha event.
The symbolism of the Dhanush holds special significance in the sacred connection between Mithila and Ayodhya, as it was after Shri Ram successfully broke the bow that Sita's marriage took place.
Crafted by a renowned Chennai-based company, the gold bow and arrow are anticipated to arrive in Ayodhya by January 12, heightening the excitement for the upcoming consecration event.
5.Nagpur Tattoo Artists Extend Free 'Shri Ram' Tattoos To 1,000 Devotees
Nagpur-based tattoo artist Hritik Darode extended a unique offer to Ram devotees ahead of the Ayodhya consecration. He is generously providing free tattoos with Lord Ram's name on the hands of 1001 individuals. The response has been overwhelming, with numerous enthusiastic registrations, including from women.
6.Vadodara Devotee Creates 1100 Kg Lamp for Ram Temple
For the inauguration of the Ram Temple, Arvindbhai Mangalbhai Patel, a devout resident of Vadodara, Gujarat, crafted an immense lamp weighing 1100 kg. Standing at 9.25 feet in height and 8 feet in width, the lamp, made of brass and copper, has a capacity to hold 851 kg of ghee. Constructed from Panchadhatu, an alloy of five metals—gold, silver, copper, zinc, and iron—the lamp underwent several months of development, with success achieved on the fifth attempt. The farmer-devotee expressed his desire to present this symbol of love and reverence to Lord Ram.
7.Hyderabad Witnesses 8000-Kilometer Padyatra Pilgrimage Delivering 9 Kilograms Of Golden Padukas
Challa Srinivas Sastry of Hyderabad, Telangana, is undertaking a remarkable padayatra, covering 8000 kilometres, to present a nine-kilogramme pair of golden padukas to the Ram Temple. Valued at Rs 65 lakh, these padukas symbolise Sastry's deep devotion and respect for Lord Ram. Beginning his journey on August 5, 2020, coinciding with Prime Minister Narendra Modi laying the temple's foundation stone, Sastry has traversed 108 cities and 11 states, collecting alms and blessings from locals. His commitment includes delivering the padukas to Ram Lalla on January 21, 2024, a day prior to the inauguration, upon his arrival in Ayodhya.
8.Indian Chef Preparing 7000 Kg Of 'Ram Halwa'
Nagpur-based chef Vishnu Manohar announced plans to prepare 7,000 kg of the traditional sweet delicacy 'Ram Halwa' for pilgrims attending the opening of the Ram Temple. The chef, holder of the World Record for the longest cooking period, will require 900 kg of rava, 1000 kg of ghee, 1000 kg of sugar, 2000 litres of milk, 2500 litres of water, 300 kg of dry fruits, and 75 kg of cardamom powder for the halwa's production. Notably, a massive kadhai weighing between 1300 and 1400 kg will be utilised in the preparation. The prasad, in the form of halwa, will be distributed to the devotees.
